Name:
Kasume
Gender:
Female
Age:
Age is but a number, she lost count and never bothered to revive the years forgotten. She believes she is somewhere in her high 90's to early 100's
Race:
Half Demon: 1/2 Cat, 1/2 Human
Status:
Wanderer
Relationships:
None
Picture and/or description:
Kasume is about 5'11 and weighs approximately 160 lbs. Being a half demon, Kasume has reddish-brown cat ears with light black stripes running across them and along their edges, a reddish brown tail fading to black at the tip, claws, fangs and light red eyes Her neck is adorned with a red studded collar, occasionally decorated with a silver bell. She normally dresses herself in a white and light red kimono.
When the moon is in it's last quarter, when only the right half of the moon is visible Kasume enters into her time of vulnerability, where she is temporarily human. Once that happens, Kasume's cat ears are replaced by human ones and her tail disappears. Her eyes change from light red to brown and her hair loses it's reddish brown color to be replaces with light brown hair. Once day breaks she reverts back to her demon appearance.
If Kasume shifts to her demonic form her eyes grow to a deeper shade of red, the white disappearing before blue pupils form, her claws and teeth grow, her tail puffs out a bit and one ragged black line forms on each of her cheeks.

Personality:
She is a very quiet girl, who listens far more than
she speaks. She often spends her time in a
secluded area. She is not very good at making acquaintances or friends because she is so shy and because she will rarely be the one to approach another being first. She tends to sit back and observe others than to partake in conversation with them. She is a loner naturally, though she may become lonely at times and long for companionship.
On the other hand, if she has managed to make a friend, she can be more open and talkative with them. She is loyal, and will protect those she loves at all costs.
Past:
As a child, Kasume lived with her human mother in a small village in feudal Japan. The young hanyou had little to no friends because of her mixed blood. Parents in the village often ignored Kasume and told their children to do the same, unfortunately they did exactly the opposite. The children turned out to be crueler than the adults, often picking in the young demon. Kasume's mother was always there to comfort her, but even she needed her child out of the house on some days, which left Kasume vulnerable to the teasing and pain the other young villagers inflicted upon her.
When Kasume was still young her mother was lost in a fire set to their village by a rival village. Kasume was one of the very few that escaped with their lives. Having no siblings and never knowing her father, she was left to fend for herself without the protection or security of a family.
The young demon has never had a permanent home, even after the fire, she was never accepted into any village, forcing her into a life of wandering, later becoming fond of the lifestyle and growing to prefer it. Any interaction with other beings more often than not led to pain and tears on Kasume's part, no one ever truly accepting her or ever making an attempt to, leaving her to continue life as a loner.
Ridicule and misunderstanding followed her wherever she went as she grew, her nature growing ever more shy, quiet and avoident because of it, though now that she is older, she is much less content to put up with the cruelties of others, preferring people fear her and wonder about her than look down upon her.
Kasume is now more one to observe than to interact with other beings and will often wait to be spoken to than to strike up a conversation herself. She finds it very hard to trust other beings and has a very low tolerance for cruelties and injustices. Others may see her as distant or uncaring, but that is mainly just a mask she puts on in public to avoid her past repeating itself.
Still this day she wanders, not quite sure what she is seeking, but compelled to keep on her way.
